The first phone talk with Turkey’s new GSM Operator ARIA was made between that period's Prime Minister Bülent Ecevit and Minister of Transportation Enis Öksüz on 21 st March 2001 during an organization which was held at Çırağan Palace. Ersin Özince – İş Bank's CEO, Roberto Colannino – TIM's (Telecom Italia Mobile) President, Marco De Benedetti - TIM's CEO, Giuseppe Farina – ARIA's CEO and a crowded group witnessed this phone talk. And Turkey also watched this event thanks tot eh TV channels who were making live programs about ARIA's First Hello. The Italian journalists took many photographs and recorded the organization in order to inform their country about this happy event. |
